Are the render options set to "Same as Source"? If so there may be sections of render that are not DNX 145 but whatever the underlying video resolution is. I've gotten in the habit of unchecking "Same as Source" in render options and choosing the final codec and resolution I want the mixdown to be. I doubt this is your problem but something to keep in the back of your mind.
Could something at the beginning of the sequence like bars or slate that is not DNX 145? Does the mixdown cover the entire sequence or just active program?

Mixdown entire show to DNxHD145 (same codec as clips). Mixdown has many spots coming up as Wrong Format. Even when cut into its own sequence. Ideas?
