For what it's worth HDcam SR records as PSF noit true P. You can output 59.94I and set the deck to progressive and it will appear as prrogressive on tape. Not sure what is causing the crash. I have 8.3.1 at home but haven't output to tape. I habve most definately output from a 29.97P project to HDCam 29.97 prf from 6.5.x.
