10.8.5 is working for us over ethernet with Connection Manager 5.3.3 to our media net 5 Unitys. The install will throw up an error message when launching the installer but a right click and show package contents / Resources/ Snow leopard.pkg and you can run that without issue. It's working for us. I'm sure this is not qualified but it's working for producer stations on iMacs that can't be back revved. Don't know if the same holds for the fibre manager. My fibre is tied to other storage and my unity needs are mostly grabbing bins to add to my local projects on SanMP.

Upgrading the SSD to 10.8.5 and Avid now boots properly. I see several others that have had this issue on mac and PC from what I've read. What is it about an SSD boot drive that would cause this error? I'm not sure how well my Unity compatibility will be with 10.8.5. I access our old medianet 5s through ethernet which he told me I can still run 5.3.3 connection manager so I should be okay. I'm surprised I hadn't heard more about this SSD issue. Perhaps I just didn't notice until I got bit today.
