Unfortunately, MC does not allow you to choose a different I/O for picture and sound. So if it sees an external I/O box, it will send sound and picture to it. You can no longer use the internal sound card of your CPU. Unless you click the 'I/O enable/disable' button, but then your picture won't go to the external I/O either.
You'd need an HDMI audio-disembber to pull audio from the BMD box, into your Mackie mixer.
