If you just want a cheap way to movie audio around, get almost any old cheap mixer from Sweetwater or B&H. I've heard Behringer, Mackie, Alesis, Yamaha, and others. They're all functional. Not a fan of Behringer's ethics, but their stuff works well for the price.

I have a 2i2 that I use with my laptop. A couple XLR/TRS inputs with decent-for-cheap preamps for VO or whatever, two TRS outs to feed monitors, 24/96 support, not much latency, USB bus powered, pretty well made, and a fairly big knob :-). The have models with more ins and outs. My 2i2 was $150 or so. They now offer a "Solo" model for $100. I'd buy another...
Just depends how many channels you need to move around, I guess...
Anyway, let us know what you choose and what you think of your choice after a couple weeks.
