Looking at some pix my daughter posted of her graduation on FaceBook I was going to tag her name on a group shot. When I went to tag the name in FaceBook the only option I seem to get is to tag myself. I'm no FB master but is this an indication that the FaceBook facial recognition algorithm/process is detecting a facial similarity between myself and my daughter? Perhaps it's my lack of understanding of the tagging options/functions on FB but it seems my only choice is to tag her face with my identity. Others in the shot will let me type in a name. Is this strictly based on facial recognition or does FB use other metadata like a similar last name to make facial recognition guesses?
I guess it makes sense we have similar features but there's no way we look that much alike, insert joke hear. I guess I should just be glad Facebook isn't suggesting the FedEx guy. ;-)
