I have sort of solved it, discovering that when I SOLO the A1 track, either on the Source side on in the Timeline, the audio plays, so I think it's a phase problem with the two tracks. I've cut only A1 into the sequence and I can hear the audio fine now, can even cut A1 into both the Timeline A1 and A2 tracks and it plays fine. Don't know why this has developed. Thoughts, anyone?
And thanks, everybody, for the help!
