- I changed the name of the "1" folder, just trying to force Avid to re-build the data base. 

When you deleted you mdb files, did they rebuild? Did you do that for
all the individual media folders? Have you tried dragging the mdb files
to an empty bin?

- Yes. This caused scanning and indexing but didn't get the relink to happen

You said that "most" of your media is offline. Is that part that is on
line on the same media drive as the offline? Same media folder?

- All in the same folder.
