Hi all,

This has been a long time problem for me ever since we started getting Camera files with 8 tracks of audio.

Is there a way of stopping Avid automatically adding new audio tracks to my timeline.

So my default timeline has 4 mono audio tracks for sync sound, 2 stereo tracks for music and 1 mono track for Guide VO. But every time I load a new rushes clip (that has 8 tracks) and cut into the timeline I have to disable the source side audio tracks otherwise I get 4 new, unwanted tracks. Normally I forget because I'm match framing and trying to edit quickly!

I just want to be able to tell Avid not to create new tracks in the timeline unless I create them on purpose. Am I missing something here? Or should this be a feature request.
