Are you saying that Avid when facing multiple copies of media will relink to the one date stamped earlier? I've never quite figured out how Avid chooses when there are multiple choices. Of course with the later ability to relink based on resolution etc... I believe would override any date stamp. It has always seemed random when I have multiple volumes with the same media unless I tell Avid to relink to a certain volume.
