Re: [Avid-L2] Most popular editing software

What makes you say that?  It may be the case that there was a specific intention to not make a traditional professional editing system.  And knew enough after FCP7 to have FCPX developed.  If you look in the App Store it is listed first in the Top Grossing section.

We do a lot of finishing for reality shows. Back when we started it was 100 percent Avid. We got into FCP finishing ahead of most of the other post houses in town. By 2010 easily 80 percent of our finishing work was on FCP originated projects.

Then came FCPX.
Now 80 percent is Avid again. We still get a lot of indie features and docs that are FCP 7. Only a few FCPX projects so far.
And one Premiere project.
Not sure what this tells you about anything.
