Re: [Avid-L2] Large single monitor mode dead

seconded. I was just trying to do this last week and gave up.

And there are actually more reasons to use it than effects. You don't ALWAYS want two monitors. I was doing a ton of logging on a one monitor system and wanted the screen real estate.

Avid seems to be losing more features than gaining.

Since I started using MC back in the 90s holding OPT / ALT + clicking on edit or effects mode gave you one single large record monitor instead of the two monitor setup. I use this feature constantly in effects mode to handle fine detail operations like animatte, dead pixel fixing, blurring faces, etc. It stopped working somewhere back in 7 and I have been trying to get it fixed. Today I discovered it was intentionally dropped as a feature with no plan to reinstate it.

I can't be the only one needs this mode. I'm hoping those of you who use this mode will chime in here in the hopes we can get this necessary functionality back.
