I would delete at least 5-6. Right now, we're working with Sony F55 media and I get rid of tracks A3-A8 and D. We have the Mix on A1 and the shotgun on A2. We always keep cam audio on there for syncing purposes just in case the mix drops out (which it does at least once per shoot week).

Dealing (offlining) with a show that has 6 channels of audio on the main cam that is radio mikes on 1 and 2 (useable) and cam mike on 3 and 4 (never used) and as far as I can see duplicates on 5 and 6. Have to sync up gopro footage (provided by the facility (wav files). I like to delete audio I don't use, and I don't like to work with more than 12 channels of audio overall.
Is there really any reason to keep these other channels of audio?Al-- http://www.fastmail.fm - One of many happy users: http://www.fastmail.fm/help/overview_quotes.html
