On Ver. 4ish I built a keyboard layout that would solo audio tracks but it's been so long I forget what I did. I probably used the addition modifier key addition to the track buttons I mapped to the keyboard. Been a while but I had some version of what you are speaking of. Has some of that functionality been lost in later versions?

3) Mouse wheel sometimes (not always) works with the mini track clip gain faders (v7) so I tried Shift+mouse wheel to try and speed up movement. Guess what? Shift+wheel reverses direction! WTF?
