Precisely. We need to see serious development, or else we are being "forced" into a gamble – or risk losing some money on earlier investments. Some might prefer the latter out of principle. Not sure Avid should want to bet against that.

All that said I can't imagine many will throw away effectively $1000 of software for the cost of $299 for support. I just hope Avid aren't gambling on that being the case and that they will gain an extra year to bring online the new features.
