Re: [Avid-L2] Need replacement for my Matrox MX02

The main difference between the black magic mini monitor and the Aja T-Tap is that the Aja can output 2K and 3-D.

I have both the Aja T-Tap and the Matrix MXO2 LE-Max.  I mostly use the MXO2 in the home setup and the T-Tap on the road. Unless I need to ingest from tape or other non file based material when I'm on the road, then I take the MXO2.  They both work very well for me.

This looks VERY interesting.  I wonder how it compares to the BlackMagic product that is very similar.  Is this AJA unit certified for Avid?

I offer:

If all you need is SDI & HDMI output, AJA's 'T-Tap' provides just that . . . . for only $295:
It interfaces with the computer through Thunderbolt only, however.
