Yep - feature request time. FCP and Premiere can do what you're wanting, but not Avid. I'm using a BMC Mini Monitor to the Flanders, and I'm feeding the Flanders to my speakers. With the iMac output feeding a separate input on the speakers for when I'm not in Avid. It's a pain in the ass, but works.

The iMac is sending through Thunderbolt to the UltraStudio Mini Monitor. It will definitely get a signal from the Avid to the monitor, but I want to choose the darn USB speakers instead of HD-SDI audio!
I guess this is a feature request then. With the BMD, there really ISN'T an audio output... it's ONLY able to send audio THROUGH the video, which is not optimal.SteveOn Jun 13, 2014, at 5:38 PM, "Michael Hancock mhancockeditor@gmail.com [Avid-L2]" <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:In Avid, the audio always follows video. So if you're outputting video via SDI to the Flanders, the audio is also going SDI. I don't think you can change that. You'll have to run audio from the Flanders audio output to your speakers, if that's an option.
