I have a client that is having problems with some media that I believe was shot on a Sony F5 at 4K to an external recorder. I'm told this is the only way to record the 4K while the camera simultaneously records 1080P to the Cam's SxS card. Apparently the 4K files from the external recorder show a Data Track on the source clip and they are getting errors trying to edit this material into a sequence. I haven't had time to look at the actual problem but I suggested maybe they could modify the tracks on the source clip eliminating the Data track before consolidating to dnx 36 for offline. I've never seen material that shows a data track on the source side other than a sequence. Can anybody shed some light on this? They are running Ver. 7 on mac platforms.
