Re: [Avid-L2] Pan and Zoom Appears as Black

Adobe can't really get ScriptSync ever actually. Nexidia owns the ability to match the phonetics with the text, but Avid owns the patent to have this work with a script in the way that it does, so Nexidia would need to buy or license this from Avid, which they would probably be loathe to do.

It pains me to think about having to change my workflow as Avid has been pretty rock solid for so many years.  But for the majority of the jobs that come through my door, the Adobe workflow seems like the best bet.  I know I'd miss a lot about Avid.  But indeed, the lack of evolution of handling text and stills is at this point insulting.  I just watched a Lynda clip of the manipulating something in AE then seeing it update in the timeline.  And yet we still can't rotate in PnZ or easily treat text without affecting the layers below.  I wouldn't be surprised if Adobe tries to get ScriptSync.  C'mon Avid, wake up!
