Sure. I also should receive my new MacPro on Monday. I plan to drive the 24" DC monitors from the MP the same way I drive my current Cinema Displays - with thunderbolt via TB to DVI adaptors.
When I get the z27x, I plan to run it with TB to an Aja T-Tap, then HDMI from the T-Tap to the z27x. The trick will be the usual OS version dance between Avid, AJA and HP (Greg S. mentioned that the z27x needs OSX 10.9.3 that came out yesterday to run properly).
