Watching this fascinating conversation, but I have to chime in on this one. Media Composer, Pro Tools and Sibelius are key components and drivers to Avid Everywhere and the new vision Louis has outlined. I'm the product manager for this products and I can tell you there is significant investment in the creative applications, they are key elements to the new strategy.

Your prediction is correct. Not sure how many years it took, but this video tells me that Avid is a server/media management company. While Louie himself stated that Avid's audio and video editing products will be a key part of Avid Everywhere, it's apparent Media Composer and ProTools are no longer the flagship products. It's big iron for big customers. Little guys, we really could care less (but you can sell a song to the big guys if they like it.). And that is probably a good strategy for Avid right now.
