Re: [Avid-L2] RE: Avid on new Mac Pro

Hi,

I have a new Mac Book Pro, 16GB ram, 1TB solid state drive, 2.6GHz i7, MC 7.0.3.  I selected File > AMA LInk... and selected the 100EOS5D folder that I had copied to an external hard drive.  A new bin was created and all of the movie files AMA'd within seconds.

I'm still learning the machine. I did run into an error message I hadn't seen in years. I was transferring a 100 MB file using We Transfer out of Firefox and the transfer stopped with an out of memory message.  A window popped up showing Firefox to be paused and a list of all open applications with a recommendation that I close some.  I closed several applications, hit resume and Firefox paused a few seconds later with the same message.  Restarting Firefox solved this problem.  I hadn't sen an out of memory message in years.

Best Wishes,

Paul Sulsky

Is this an issue on the new MBP as well?  Just got a tricked out rMBP and hadn't even considered that issue.

Oh well, I guess as soon as they get the Avid Customer Association figured out they can devote some time and funding to this....
