Dave Pimm reported that our first Mac Pro finally arrived at Avid last week and the testing has begun.
They get a "failed to initialize audio" error on launch of the application - 7.0.3. Apparently the app is looking for one audio input. This new MAC Pro does not have any.
Until the editing software is modified and released (no clue yet when that will be yet), you will need to connect a USB or thunderbolt audio input device.
Dave connected the latest gen MBox and downloaded the driver. An Apple Thunderbolt monitor will also work (as that has a microphone input).
More to follow when I get scoop from the guys in testing.
