I don't work on many film projects but have occasional used a matchback project to take 30 frame offlines back to 24 frames for online. I noticed that in the time code window in 24 frame projects I can have numbers for tracks above 9 show up correctly where as in a typical non matchback project any track above 9 the track ID numbers are blank in the time code window. Time code still appears but the ID is missing. If I stack V1 over V11 there is no "11" in front of the bottom time code line. I've found that if I create a matchback project in 1080P/29.97 or 1080i/59.94 I can now see the proper ID's abouve track 9. I'm curious if there is any downside to making projects matchback or are there any other advantages in my non film projects that are typical reality/documentary workflows.
