This is just a bizarre way to have this set up. It's as if they couldn't think outside the original method of everyone having their own local drives. Sure, it "works" but the question is does it work OPTIMALLY? Why have back ups for separate rooms? The way this is set up makes media management much more difficult and finding stuff more difficult. I would NOT advise that anyone else follow this methodology. Of course, each to his own, but that doesn't mean it's right.
