I just can't believe that people can pursue pro editing software and
balk at paying 1K for it.
I probably sound harsher in print than in conversation, the 'food and
beverage industry' line comes from an old boss of mine who threw it
around anytime anyone complained about ANYTHING, 'dont like it - plenty
of opportunities in the food and beverage industry'. Its not my
intention to scare anyone away but more to make then think about what
they are basing their careers on. A pirated piece of software, a illicit
educational version or even genuine second hand does not get you the
professional support from the manufacturer your clients deserve. To not
buy into the full enchilada is to not only short change yourself but
also your clients who WILL expect that you have fully licensed,
supported systems when they give you a job.
But having written the original comment half awake around 7am this
morning I apologise to anyone I upset, though if that's enough to put
someone off the list they sure wouldnt like to work with half my
clients, a ribbing like that and worse is what we call monday.
