Re: [Avid-L2] Another Mavericks gotcha

One of the most frustrating things though, is that "quicklooks" is just as picky.  I didn't realize how often a quick tap of the spacebar let me preview a clip.

Reading this thread, I'm amazed that anybody ever uses QTX for anything except making screen recordings. QT7 works (as previously stated in this thread), as it always has, and still works in Mavericks. Get info on a MOV, change the Open With to QT7, hit Change All, and you're done.

The phrase super-sucky is anachronistic. The current preferred term is ultra-sucky.

Though some claim it's very hard to appreciate the difference between ultra-sucky and very-sucky unless you are very close.

"Super-sucky" I'm going to have check with my Broadcast Engineering for the exact specs on what constitutes the "Super-sucky" classification. Is there a specialized Tektronix waveform that monitors "Super-suckyness" in baseband or IP video streams? I'm going to be using that phrase a lot in the future. It's right up there with Bone Heads in my book. ;-)
