If you shoot Red its Progressive. No interlaced option.
If you make interlaced media its psf but if you deinterlace that you just soften the progressive frames.
Psf is useful if you need to mix interlaced and progressive content but you have to be aware that apps dont understand psf they just treat it as interlaced.
