It highly depends on how much money you want to spend / what you 'could' use on other hardware.
Simplest option (for now), if you want HD, is to use a Teradek hardware encoder (some 1500 bucks) and upload to YouTube Live. (free)
You could setup something yourself, but that would be slightly more costly.
If SD is enough, any old PC / Mac you have laying around will do the encoding, but you need to feed it an SD signal, so it would need 'some' board.
(Could be the firewire port)
But the Teradek stuff works hassle free, setup / forget about it.
