I'm working double shifts this entire week so I'm semi brain dead right now and might be misinterpreting everything that I'm reading right now. My eyes start to water when I try to do my Nuke tutorials while dealing with learning Linux.
If you right-click the keyframe tracks in the effect editor, you can select "Add Start and End Keyframes" which seems to do what you're talking about.
