Also, there is an overall waveform Timeline Fast Menu setting PLUS the ability to have individual tracks have timelines PLUS the chance that you somehow turned on "Marked Waveforms" so they'd only be shown between in and out marks on enabled tracks. PLUS the chance that your user settings are corrupt. The easiest way to check all four possibilities is to create a new User setting and enable waveforms in that user from scratch.
