Subject: [Avid-L2] Unity alarm tone , not the beeping power supply one
Hi everyone, long time reader, first time poster.
I put a Unity server to sleep a few months ago between seasons of a show. It might have been down for 4 months tops. Anyway, I go to turn the system back on and there's a steady alarm tone that rings constantly, and the red button on the back of the chassis doesn't silence it. I've dealt with dead (or dying) power supplies before (on a different server, not this one) and those were intermittent beeps and could be silenced by the alarm.
Any ideas or experience with a continuous drone alarm? All 3 of the power supplies have green lights, and when I unplugged 1 of the 3 power supplies as a test, the normal 'intermittent beeping' started up until I reattached power. Worth noting that the system fires up and launches the server just fine. I see the one (empty) workspace I left on the server when I shut it down. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
