Will continue to use DVDSP until I can't. As pointed out, the spec will not change. Both products will continue to work fine as long as they will run. Some products simply don't need updating. I still favor Eudora 7 (a decade EOL) and Office 2000 (never got better).
Depending on your needs (screeners, DDPs, Blu-ray?) you might want to consider setting up a Windows machine anyway. I've always had one Windows media machine for the tasks that OSX just doesn't do well. In particular, you can't QC Windows product on a Mac! Also useful for various types of hardcore manipulations such as ripping.
More relevant, I've also used Windows continuously for MPEG transport stream compression because the early Mac options were dreadful (they're better now). I mention this because I still use TMPEGenc Video Works and love it. So I would recommend their "Authoring Works" product blind. I have not used it, but plan to implement in the very near future for Blu-ray.
Another option to consider, if the OS becomes incompatible, would be to run an earlier OSX under Parallels. Not it's normal use, but may come in handy some day.
cheers,
tod
