I've got a gopro and use it with my MC V7 and its fine. AMA link for instant access. I get realtime playback on my HP Z400 I make selects and background transcode.
I can even use the new Dynamic Media Folders service to completely background transcode them AMA link to a bin by judt dropping the files into a folder.
The next change to the Avid playbavk engine is likely to be related to resolution independence and that will likely reduce playback performance of non native content. Currently the playback engine is optimised for TV resolutions.
