ExFAT works great for quick cross platform transfer. The big downside
compared to NTFS and HFS+ is the File Allocation Table has no backup copy.
This means if the FAT is corrupted it is unlikely you will be able to run a
disk repair to recover the data. So don't use it for large drives
containing the only copy of your media. Best used for external drives that
is being transported from point A to B and it is expendable.
