Here are the Resolve 9 commands I came up with to use. I had to figure out these different online conforming situations, thus, I had to figure out how to write these string patterns. Lets see if this makes sense as I explain it to you.
these strings use, of course with out the quotes in Resolve 9!!!
"*/%R" - this string tells the Resolve 9 to use the file name plus the suffix as the "Reel No"
"*/%R/%D" - this string tells the Resolve 9 to use the folder name the file lives in as the "Reel No" (of course if memory serves me correctly you would not want to put a suffix name for a folder name!!!)
the * is a wild card or It tells the Resolve to look in subfolders something like that maybe.
the / is just specifying end of one command and now here is the next command
the %R is the name

the %D is now saying the folder name.
I should go check the manual, but from memory I think in the manual it says that the Resolve reads this command left to right, but for some reason it makes more sense to me to read it from right to left.
