So I purchased an upgrade from Symphony 6.5 to MC 7 today. After I installed and registered it, I tried to activate the Symphony piece and it would not accept the Symphony authorization code I got when I bought the Symphony cross grade last December.
After some poking around, I noticed that my Symphony product didn't appear under the log-in name I used to buy the MC7 upgrade. When I re-llogged in using a different email, the one I used when I bought the Symphony grade, there was my product info. I know, it was stupid to have 2 different accounts, but its a long story . . .
Bottom line:
Assuming that activation process checks to see that the old version is listed with the log-in name I'm using, does anyone know if its possible all my registrations under one account, and whether that would solve my activation issue?
AVID is closed for the day so I'll call them in the morning, but wondered if my thinking is right or did I miss something?
