Mac OS 10.6.8 MC 5.5.3 system seems prone to putting strange glitches in
SD Canon 5D ama linked transcodes to SD 1:1. The other systems with
same basic configuration don't seem to add the glitches. The glitches
are something akin to a marriage of fluid motion and macro blocking.
Retranscoding seems to eliminate the hits but the Lead AE feels like his
system is doing this while other rooms aren't. We're just getting up
and going on the current season so we just noticed this issue. The
problematic system is a new MacPro 12 core and it has the latest Perian
installed. I recall level related issues with perian and ama etc.....
but I've never heard of it causing hits or glitches. Has anybody else
seen this?
