I want to understand WHY he wants this single clip from a bunch of edited clips.
This is along the lines of my constant discussion of the old saw "Nobody needs a drill... what they want is a hole."
So my question is... "Why do you want a single clip from a series of edited clips? What is the purpose of the single clip?"
Maybe there is a better solution to the problem depending on what the end goal is.
It could be as simple as a plain export. It could be as simple as consolidating. It could be as simple as a mixdown.
It all comes down to application.
