Is it possible to edit with Proxy footage (h.264 transcoded via AMA to Avid
DNXHD) then link to online files (QuickTime DNXHD) when they become
available ?
The one thing that seems to trip me up is that the online quality files are
not precisely the same duration as the proxy footage. The timecodes
all match and all used footage is contained within both versions of the
files. There are just different length slates and black, etc. The actual
program material is identical, with matching TC.
In my limited testing, I haven't been able to make it work in MC 6.5. But
it's possible I am not understanding all the new parameters in the relink
dialog.
The edits are not terribly complicated and I can get thorough it fairly
easily using Replace Edit, but would rather avoid some tedium.
