Hello Listers,
I have been freelancing for many many years, and am finally getting the opportunity to make the jump and set up my own facility. I will be starting small, with two bays, a bullpen for VFX and perhaps one production office.
I've culled about as much as I think I can from the web, and am now reaching out to colleagues and fellow business owners for advice.
What I'm seeking is wisdom about scaling, payroll, potential pitfalls, setting up the "right" kind of business, etc.
Responding to the list is probably beneficial to all those interested, but I'm also available to meet for coffee, lunch, etc.
