Seems a shame to de-interlace interlaced footage and loose details for a DVD that supports interlaced content.
I'd avoid compressor for MPEG encodes for anything but viewing copies.
Aside from our hardware SDI MPEG encoder the next best results we see are using Digital Rapids, Adore Media Encoder and Squeeze.
