Maybe he can fuel the same type of explosive growth he had in 2006 with that company at AVID in 2013? That would make the shareholders happy.

I started out using Avid audio (aka Digidesign). I told them back in 2006 that I would gladly pay for bug fixes, as long as they were fixing the bugs I reported.

Now they have potential accounting issues related to bug fixes? As an end-user, I don't recall AVID charging for any of the Pro Tools bug fix releases (i.e. 8.0.1, 9.0.5, etc.). Maybe they should charge for bug fixes? Of course the cost needs to be reasonable, and they can't use charging for bug fixes as an excuse for releasing buggy software.
