[Avid-L2] Re: OT: DCP software

 

By "Key-Less" DCP do you mean a DCP with no DRM or whatever the proper term is for copywrite/playback protection? The problem I've heard most people have with making a DCP is being ablt to QC it. My understanding is it's hard to get/find software to playback the DCP for QC. Perhaps I've been misinformed but I know one place that makes the DCP for their 3D project and has to send it out to get QC'd. Seems like this process is unnecessarily cumbersome but perhaps the industry is not to keen on everyone having fully functional DCP software for security reasons?
