[Avid-L2] Re: OT: G-Tech Rant

 

If you have a similar unit try swapping power supplies if they are external units. I just had a similar problem last night where I have 5 or 6 of the same enclosures but for some reason a particular drive won't spin up with some of the external power supplies even though they are all identical units. Seems like for some reason some of the external wall wart power supplies don't provide enough current/voltage to get some drives spinning. In my experience many times it's the enclosure's power supply that is creating issues with spinning up drives.
