So I'm on the tail end of a Cluster Flop of a series that was ama'd and transcode crossing version upgrades from V5 to V6. Now for online nothing will relink to the offline. After a little investigation I find that the video source TC1 from offline has no relation to the actual time code of the clips when reama'd to uprez the sequence. The sound time code on the offline clips is however correct and matches the reama'd clips for uprez. What is really confusing me is if I take the offline clip that I can see the "V1 Snd" displayed correctly in the source and record windows but when I display the Sound TC column in the bin with the offline clip I see no time code in that column at all. I was sort of hoping I could find the correct sound time code in the bin and do a copy and paste to the TC 1 start time code column, kinda like when converting a 30 frame offline back to 24 frame by duplicating the start time code column to the aux tc 24 column
thingy. Does anybody have a clue how I can see proper V1 Snd time code in source and record but not in the bin? It really feels like the clips were originally just imported because for the particular clip I'm checking it's Start Time Code is 00;00;00;00 but the sound time code is correct just not visable in the bin column. WTF??????? Head bang and now they've admitted to me they've just been eye matching everything up till now. Of course we don't have a locked offline yet so every revision has to be manually re conformed. In the words of Dr. Smith, "Oh, the pain."
