Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Feature Request on long motion effects

When this first became possible, I would send the offline back to the editor and make them match back to the source and create an animation sequence. The nice thing about doing it that way is the finished sequence matches the offline exactly. And way less storage. You could do that part yourself, I suppose- still faster that a failed capture!

It should also make sure that during the first attempt at batch capture the clip will ingest the entire half hour or more only to abort at the last few frames because the handles extend beyond the actual clip after decompose. I would go so far as to suggest that when an offline editor even attempts to cut in such a clip at anything other than full resolution the clip should not play back. I think this will reduce the use of unnecessary motion effects quite rapidly. Please be sure to enable your sarcasm filter. Meanwhile back to one hell of a long consolidation process. ;-_)
