I recall Mr. Rynderman mentioning there was a time when the x stood for "Packed" not ten bit. QT Pro shows the media as 1:1x but we don't capture 1:1X in Avid. This is why I think the "1:1x" displayed in QTPro is not standing for 10 bit but the "Packed" codec. I may be wrong but given we capture 8 bit I think it is QTPro misrepresenting the codec.
