I've had similar problems opening omf files from
A much Older project. I think they may of been sd2, but they were labeled omf. Was able to open with qt 7 pro, but reconnecting to picture proved cumbersome at best, and not practical. Everyones favorite L2 member 'video toolshed' even made me a nifty tool, but it wasn't practical for the scale of the project. (or, more accurately, the commitment of the filmmaker.)

Have you tried opening in qt 7? Just a thought.
