[Avid-L2] Bus error with Media Tool

 

Curious problem -- using MC5.0, no attached hardware, Macbook Pro
OSX 10.6.8.

Has been quite stable, except every time I try to use the Media
Tool, Avid quits with a Bus Thread error while showing the
"Adding Orphan Files to the Media Tool" dialog. I suspected
perhaps a corrupt media file, but the same error occurs with
completely empty media folders.

Have also trashed the various settings files.

Owner of the machine would rather I not re-install everything...

I can live without the Media Tool on this project, but any ideas
why this would be happening, and what might fix it?
